Cheryl started off her journey in the hospitality industry as a hostess
in a small little fish and chips restaurant in Richmond Hill while in
highschool. Enjoying the interactions, excitement and organized chaos
made her realize that this is what she wanted to do.
Her passion for pleasing others and just having a great time seemed to
fit really well within the restaurant industry.
After highschool she obtained her BS in Psychology at York University
all while bartending at night because her passion and love for people
was always number one.
While finishing university and working 30 hours a week at the restaurant
she realized she needs to learn more about the hospitality industry as a
whole and decided to go to George Brown College for Travel, Tourism and
Event Planning.
Loving every second of these programs solidified her enjoyment and passion for hospitality even more making her move into Management and going to Seneca for a Hotel and Restaurant Management Program.
But we can’t forget… all the travel and music along the way. Traveling
for a few years and working in restaurants and resorts, bartending and gigging, all while finding her niche within the industry made it that
much more enjoyable.
From slinging drinks, to eating and serving incredible food she knew
from the age of 15 till now that this was her passion and will be going
forward.
Now residing in Collingwood and working with such an incredible,
positive and hardworking team at Kaytoo proved to her that this is
exactly where she wanted to be and that the excitement and fun this
industry has brings her extreme amounts of joy and happiness and cannot wait to see what the future holds.
